"TEXAS~OnBoard" came about when I asked my Daddy to build a birdhouse for me. (Yes, we still say "Daddy" here in Texas!)
Being a wise man, he told me to come on over and he would "try to show me how". And sure enough, he had a shiny circular saw waiting to be started up and put to work. Being a true Southern female, I had no clue which end of the thing was up, much less how to use one!
I watched and learned as my father explained patiently that day. Somehow he managed not to laugh too much as he watched my excited expressions as I clumsily butchered several pieces of wood. And then something magical happened....I got the hang of it!
My Daddy didn't realize it then, but he did a whole lot more than teach me how to build a birdhouse that day. I soon began designing and building custom gifts for family and friends...and their friends...and friends of who knows who's friends!
Everyone wants something as unique as their own personality. And that's just what I try to create using recycled wood and other oddities . Each piece is a "one-of-a-kind".
What was once a hobby has snowballed into a business. But the best part is getting call or email from a customer who is absolutely thrilled when their order arrives.
Prices vary depending on the request, but I strive to keep things affordable. Small items start under $20.00 with medium to larger items ranging from $50.00 to over $100.00 or more depending on customization.
